PJ’s Coffee and WOW American Eats opens in Pearl River

Poplarville, MS (RestaurantNews.com)  Aladdin Campus Dining, a specialist in higher education culinary management services, is proud to add PJ’s Coffee and WOW American Eats to Pearl River Community College’s dining portfolio. Students, faculty and members of the community celebrated these trending brands during a grand opening on Tuesday, Nov. 14, at 10:30 a.m.

“We couldn’t be more thrilled and proud to bring two exemplary Louisiana-based concepts to the heart of our campus,” said Adam Breerwood, president of Pearl River Community College. “We’re thankful to our dining partner, Aladdin Campus Dining, along with Ballard Brands, for working with us to help provide our hardworking Wildcats the opportunity to enjoy great flavors and the convenience of these beloved brands right here on our grounds.”

Located in Crosby Hall on campus and available to the public, PJ’s Coffee opened in late October, while WOW American Eats opened on Wednesday, Nov. 8.

Founded by Phyllis Jordan, a pioneer in the coffee industry, PJ’s Coffee serves a wide variety of hot, iced and frozen coffee beverages using only the best quality Arabica coffee beans, as well as organic tea and fresh breakfast pastries. Since 2008, PJ’s Coffee has been owned and operated by Ballard Brands, a privately held hospitality and food service company formed by brothers Paul, Steven and Scott Ballard to deliver their New Orleans passion for eating, drinking and living to the world.

WOW American Eats, a restaurant that goes beyond the typical fast dining experience using favorite American dishes and recipes by adding a modern twist, was founded by the Ballard brothers in 2001. With award-winning signature sauces and made-from-scratch spice rubs, WOW has won “Best Wings in New Orleans” eight years in a row.

Both locations will operate Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.
